The Magic of 1535
We bought 1535 abandoned, gutted, and ravaged by unreported fires. The grand facade was crumbling onto the sidewalk. It was sad to see a Chicago Landmarked Building deteriorating but it presented the perfect opportunity to grow the business and stay true to our mission of long term preservation.
For 3+ years we navigated city approvals to add a floor and convert it from a three-unit to a four-unit building, maximizing the investment.
Now, 1535 N Maplewood stands tall as a testament to perseverance, providing a cherished home to happy renters, and the structure itself will outlast our legacy.

1316 was an interesting project. The property wasn’t officially landmarked but we wanted to keep the integrity of the original architecture while fixing up a tired facade. It was a meticulous process but in the end we made lasting improvements to a building that will stand strong for another 100 years.
